OBJECTIVES

To train professionals in health, teaching and research, skilled to:

• Develop public health-related research projects and programs, supported by state-of-the-art knowledge and scientific evidence accumulated in the field;
• Contribute to broaden the understanding of the determining factors of the population’s health-disease process;
• Propose and support public policies, proposals and projects aimed at improving the health and quality of life of communities, as well as reducing health inequalities;
• Contribute to improve the training of students in all areas of health.
