Quando houver suspeita de pneumonia deve-se sempre procurar atendimento m\u00e9dico. O tratamento \u00e9 feito em casa na maioria das vezes, mas quadros mais graves com dificuldade respirat\u00f3ria acentuada, cianose (quando a crian\u00e7a fica arroxeada), crian\u00e7a que j\u00e1 apresenta outras doen\u00e7as ou com idade inferior a seis meses precisam de interna\u00e7\u00e3o hospitalar. Mesmo a crian\u00e7a em tratamento domiciliar precisa ser reavaliada em at\u00e9 48 horas.
