Goals

To train professionals to investigate, analyze, understand, and propose ways to deal with violence, using strategies that focus especially on health care and promotion, citizenship and the construction of a culture of peace.

Thus, we have set these specific goals:

• Training professionals so they can act in a rational, effective and efficient way, as part of the realities they are inserted in;
• Developing the theoretical-methodological learning required to conduct research and produce knowledge within the field;
• Producing knowledge capable of generating new practices and technologies of tackling violence, assisting in formulating public policies across different levels of government and, from a multiplying perspective, guiding the proposition of teaching, research, further learning and intervention programs and projects.
